Thailand Tourist Visa

The most common visa used by people visitng Thailand is the Thailand Tourist Visa which has few options but is the easiest visa to obtain compared to some of the other visa options in Thailand.  The tourist visa is mainly a single entry visa as many Thai Embassies have stopped issuing multiple entry tourist visas. It is still the best visa to obtain if you plan on staying in Thailand for more than 30 days. The visa is valid for 2 months when you enter and can be extended in country for a further 30 days at any Thai Immigration office in Thailand. 

Documents Required

  • Passport and 1 Copy of ID Page with a validity not less than 6 months
  • Visa application form (filled out)
  • 2 photos (collar, white back ground, 3×4 cm.)


Business Visa (Non B)

Foreigners who wish to work, conduct business or undertake investment activities in Thailand must apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa at the Royal Thai Embassies or Royal Thai Consulates-General.  Various categories of the Non-Immigrant Visa are currently provided to meet the needs and qualifications of individual business persons. 

Documents Required

  • A passport with at least 6-month validity from the date of your intended arrival in Thailand.
  • An invitation or confirmation letter to clarify the purpose of travel issued by the concerned organization.
  • Additional supporting document requested by the Royal Thai embassy or consulate.
  • Proof of financial funds and travel itinerary.
  • 2 photos (collar, white back ground, 3×4 cm.)

Non-O Visa

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to accompany spouse or family members working, studying or living in Thailand.

Documents Required
  • A passport with at least 6-month validity from the date of your intended arrival in Thailand.
  • Visa application form (filled out)
  • Company or school's guarantee letter addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Savannakhet stating that the applicant is spouse or family members of those working or studying in Thailand
  • Copy of passport pages of those working or studying in Thailand. The passport pages should include personal data page and Thai visa page.
  • Copy of Thai Work Permit or Student I.D.
  • Copy of marriage certificate (For spouse)
  • Copy of birth certificate (For parents)
  • 2 photos (collar, white back ground, 3×4 cm.)
